The summer zouk party organised by Zouk Mani in London was once again awesome (Though this is the first time for me to attend a boat party on water) In the end, events are mostly about the people let alone the setting and music. There are lots of people from outside of London and many from different countries like a congress party and most people are friendly to mix with. We do not have time to socialise at the local zouk club and this is the best opportunity to socialise with zoukers who do not normally meet or cannot talk.
The setting is ,of course, without doubt most gorgeous as Thames River is my eternal favourite place in the world. Each time I pass through the Jubilee Golden Gate after dancing around midnight, the golden scenery over looking Thames River still pounces my hearts. Lots of people like the Saine or Dunae river, Rhine, Danube whatever, But for me, I totally love Thames River and I even appreciate that I am still alive to be looking at the river. I recall the day I first landed in England, I felt this is the country I would like to live. My dream came true a long time ago. I am ready to move to different country in the last chaper in my life in mind. My small dream this year also came true. ( Google top page) so I set small dream 2 weeks ago and it also achieved today! ( my weight and fat mass) So it is tome to set new goals which are both big and small.
When on the boat, this feeling of excitement is topped up to the maximum and it is so gorgeous looking over the scenery from the floating boat at night on the Thames River. It was just awesome and I had gone speechless. Then there was my favourite dance inside the cabin with wonderful zoukers!! Just Love Love Love!!!
It was good that I was able to say hello to zoukers face to face which I normally only see on facebook!! There are many zoukers I have never met or danced with as well. I felt all of the zoukers at the boat were amazing. It was a bit crowded and there may be an issue of health and safety but the atmosphere was amazing.
The highlight was when I danced with Anthony who I previously mentioned and he was happy to accept of being video recorded with me. Unfortunately the music on at that time was not most suitable of our authentic dance style but I am looking forward to seeing the recording which Aryo filmed for us. I danced with Freddy not knowing it was him. ( International zouk instructor who visited London workshop) Please forgive me as I said to him “oh you come from Brazil? So you must be good at dancing then” to him before dancing and then also said to him after dancing “ yes, you are good! What is your name?” He said “ Freddy” Oh……(mmm) then Andressa approached us and laughed. (Embarrassment) We talked on the boat and he said he would love to go to Japan for zouk and hopes his dream comes true soon. There was also conversation with Anthony on the boat. I am emotionally touched when he said about his cazouk group and my kazouk website and I will explain this conversation in the next blog. It was emotional to me.
There were many events that happened during the boat party but I cannot write everything in here.
Since my zouk journey started 12 month ago, many drama has happened. All memory has been brought back to me and the setting made me feel even more emotional. Now, I have started to sail another voyage with this kazouk journey and I hope this new voyage will lead to new chapters and era I am loving this zouk voyage and it keeps me going and takes me to other bucket list locations.
