THE WARNINGS FOR ZOUK ADDICTS - How to combat toxic side affects

Do you dance 5 times a week? Do you stay up after midnight each night? Are you waking up with tireness next morning and does not feel so great till afternoon?

if answers to these questions are yes, please find your photo taken last year...

Having noticed the aging signs in my face in a mirror lately, by looking at photos taken last summer made me a fright. The only reason I can think of these aging signs is that I started having a lack of sleep and poor sleep since I started to party at zouk!! The dark circle around eyes,droping eye lids and laughing line are one of examples of aging! A giant cosmetic company’s ads orchestrates of the importance of good sleep, " Beauty can make at night "

How long I can pretend to ignore this warning? No longer when I read an article that a lack of sleep relates dementia!

In 2009, American and French researchers determined that brain events called “sharp wave ripples” are responsible for consolidating memory. The ripples also transfer learned information from the hippocampus to the neocortex of the brain, where long-term memories are stored. Sharp wave ripples occur mostly during the deepest levels of sleep. This why a lack of sleep make you forgetful.

If you want to keep your memory sharp, try getting plenty of sleep!!

Though It does not apply for me as I only go zouk up to twice a week, people who do partying so often are said to suffer from a mild depression. So if you do zouk or salsa more than 5 times a week , examing your lifestyle carefully.Maybe they feel empty when they are not partying with friends ? you may be feel sad or lonely spending time on your own at home? If so, partying is an only temporary solution and you need to look at what is making you crave for the party so much.

Sleeping is the essential process to repair our normal tissues. Good sleep help to cure the wear and tear of the day. If sufficient recovery was not made for chronic basis, it is not healthy and will link to osteopath and dementia.

When we don’t get enough sleep, your body releases more of the stress hormone cortisol. In excess amounts, cortisol can break down skin collagen, the protein that keeps skin smooth and elastic.Sleep loss also causes the body to release too little human growth hormone. When we’re young, human growth hormone promotes growth. As we age, it helps increase muscle mass, thicken skin, and strengthen bones.

Yes!! all in all, this is something we have to consider seriously. Kazouk do not want to age faster nor giving up partying, so I shall try a power nap! Well I will look into sleeping and beauty more at Helath and Zouk page later stage.
